Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the Texas Department of Public safety certifies instructors to teach the License to Carry class.  Further, there is a separate review process for Online Course Providers.  MyLTCClass instructors are certified by Texas DPS as  LTC instructors and Online Course Providers.

It is a 4-hour course, consisting of 12 easy to watch, self-paced videos, and a 25 question Student Exam at the end.

After purchase, you will have immediate access to the course, and can watch it from a phone, tablet, or computer – by far the most convenient way to get your LTC.

After successful completion of the videos and Exam, you will be able to download your LTC-101 form, which you need for your state application.

Once successfully completed, the student will submit their application and paperwork to the Texas DPS, and get fingerprinted.

Upon DPS approval of the application, they will mail you your LTC.

Yes.  Upon completion of the course, a student will download their Certificate (LTC-101) form, and schedule a proficiency demonstration with an LTC instructor (either with us, or any certified LTC instructor.

Once successfully completed, the student will submit their application and paperwork to the Texas DPS, and get fingerprinted.
